Cover Art
DJ Khaled’s third and latest offering, We Global, is a star-studded A-List affair that contains some of the biggest and best names in the music business. Take for instance the premier single, ‘Out Here Grindin’,’ which spotlights Akon, Rick Ross, Lil Boosie, Trick Daddy, Plies, and newcomer, Ace Hood. Whew! And, that is only a tip of the iceberg!
Elsewhere, T-Pain and Kanye West meet up and trade flows over The Runners sing-songy, ‘Go Hard,’ as Fabolous, Flo Rida, Fat Joe, Ross The Boss {cameo two} and singer Lloyd get down and dirty on the bouncy ‘Go Ahead.’ Then, CPT prodigal son, The Game, and QB’s Nasty Nas check in on ‘Red Light’ and ‘I’m On,’ respectively.
The title track, ‘We Global,’ is a commercial-sounding joint, again, with Joey Crack, and crooners Ray J and Trey Songz. ‘She's Fine,’ finds the “Dungeon Dragon,” Busta Rhymes, Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott and Sean Paul (not the rapper) riding a Reggaeton-infused groove, while Trick Daddy and his Dunk Ryders collective touch down on the street heater, ‘Fuck the Other Side.’
We Global is also the perfect avenue for the Beat Novacaine to introduce his flagship artist, Ace Hood, who is signed to his We The Best imprint through Island/Def Jam Records, and he does exactly that. The impressive Hood actually appears on five joints; ‘Standing On The Mountain Top,’ ‘Final Warning,’ ‘Blood Money,’ as well as the above mentioned ‘Out Here Grindin’.’ First he claimed to be the “Best,” now he’s stating that he’s “Global,” all that Khaled has left to conquer is the “Universe!”
