Prodigy and Alchemist Arrested

Two hip-hop heavies were arrested early yesterday for gun possession after making a u-turn in a $120,000 bulletproof SUV, police said.
Queens-based rapper Prodigy and Los Angeles beat-maker The Alchemist were stopped by cops at about 2:15 a.m. for an illegal parking maneuver in Chelsea.
The customized Chevy Suburban, driven by G-Unit member Prodigy, was going east on West 30th Street when it turned left on Ninth Avenue and headed north - the wrong way - then made a U-turn to get into a parking spot.
Cops spotted the move and pulled the pair over.
As officers shined a flashlight into the vehicle, Prodigy was seen "squirming" to block something police sources said. A search revealed a .22 caliber handgun in the front center console, cops said. Both men were charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
At their arraignment, Prodigy 31, whose real name is Albert Johnson, was released on $7,500 bail. Afterward, he called the charges "bull- - - -."
The Alchemist, whose real name is Alan Maman, was released on his own recognizance.
