SRC's New White MC Asher Roth Talks VH1's "White Rapper Show"

In an exclusive up-coming interview with HHNLive.com, new SRC Records signing (and white MC) Asher Roth lets his views be known on VH1's "The White Rapper Show".
ASHER ON "THE WHITE RAPPER SHOW":
"The white rapper show set us back like 10, 15 years. You couldn’t take that serious because they were horrible. I mean like, what I’m doing is real. You can hear it in the music. When you were watching that show you can’t sit here and take that seriously. Every contestant, from the get go, you weren’t like “wow, I’m going to be a fan of this dude”. We watched that to watch how wack those rappers could be. That was the entertainment piece of the show. I mean I watched the show because I was interested to see others in my space perform but I watched it to watch how wack those dudes were. Actually that show did wonders for my confidence. I watched that ish and I was like I’m literally waaaaaay better than those dudes up there and I was probably around like 19. There’s going to be times when you are tested and that was right around the time when I was figuring out if I really wanted to do this. You have to ask yourself that question. Because if you are going to do this seriously, there is no turning back. You can’t just quit. It’s not like playing the drums or basketball in high school. You can’t just quit. You have to go full steam ahead. So the White Rapper Show like you said was just gimmicks and bullsh*t."
Asher also lets fans know when they'll be able to get the first ever "Gangsta Grillz" mixtape featuring a white MC.
"We got the “Greenhouse Effect” coming. A Gangsta Grillz, the first ever one with a white boy yes. It’s going to be myself, DJ Drama, and DJ Cannon. That’s drops June 13th at 3:39 am. It’ll be online for free and you can get it all over the place. That’s the first move and I promise it’s the first time lyricism has been showcased like this on a mixtape in a very, very long time."
