BREAKING NEWS: Ja Rule and Lil' Wayne Arrested In New York City

Ja Rule and Lil' Wayne were arrested in New York City last night (July 22) in separate incidents on similar charges of criminal possession of weapons.

According to WCBS, police pulled over a luxury car at 10:37 Sunday night on the Upper West Side. Police say Ja Rule and two others were inside.

Police recovered a .40-caliber pistol from the vehicle.

Lil' Wayne was arrested an hour later after police officers saw him and another man smoking marijuana. When they approached, officers also found Wayne to be carrying a .40-caliber pistol.

Lil Wayne's real name is Dwayne Carter; Ja Rule's is Jeff Atkins.

Representatives for both rappers have yet to comment on the charges.

And what prompted a search of his vehicle? he shouldn't have had a weapon in the car anyway. He has to be smarter than that. As for Wayne, he was smoking weed in public and carrying a gun. His dumb ass deserves to be arrested.
