Marilyn Manson Didn't Record With Eminem Because He Was "Too misogynistic"

According to MTV.com, Marilyn Manson refused to collaborate with Eminem on his debut album "The Slim Shady LP" because the rapper was "too misogynistic". Manson was asked by Eminem to appear on the song "'97 Bonnie & Clyde", a song in which Eminem fantasizes about killing his wife, putting her in the trunk and dumping her body in the lake.
"The song he asked me to sing was — and this may sound strange — too misogynistic," Manson told Spin in the magazine's June issue. "It was the one about killing his girlfriend and putting her in a trunk. ... It was too over-the-top for me to associate with. First of all, I don't drive. And I wouldn't put a girl in a trunk; that's where I keep other stuff. That's my dry, deadpan humor kicking in."
Marilyn Manson did end up collaborating with Eminem on a remix of his song "The Way I Am" off of his "Marshall Mathers LP".
Marilyn Manson's new album, "Eat Me, Drink Me", is in stores June 5.
